The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested four students of Ada Senior High Technical School following the emergence of a disturbing video on social media showing a student brandishing a cutlass and threatening fellow students on campus.
According to a press release issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Tema Regional Police Headquarters on May 22, 2026, the incident came to the attention of the police at about 12:10 a.m. after the video was intercepted online.
A police night patrol team was immediately dispatched to the school to intervene.
With the assistance of school authorities, the police arrested Raymond Gyamfi, 18, Oscar Amemoair, 18, and Odartey Wilson, 18, together with one juvenile, all of whom were identified in the viral video. The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
The Command has urged students to resolve disagreements peacefully through established school structures and to refrain from all acts of violence or intimidation. Parents and school authorities have also been encouraged to strengthen guidance, supervision, and discipline among students to help maintain safety and order in schools.
The Tema Regional Police Command assured the public that investigations are ongoing and that further developments will be communicated in due course.
